My Story

I began my career as a cardiovascular perfusionist in 2016, drawn to the unique combination of physiology, technology, and team-based care. In the operating room, I’ve had the privilege of supporting patients through some of the most complex and critical moments of their lives while working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members.

Perfusion taught me to think in systems — to understand how people, processes, and technology intersect to achieve the best possible outcomes. It also gave me a deep appreciation for accurate information, clear communication, and efficient workflows, especially in high-pressure environments.

The Shift Toward Informatics

Over the years, I became increasingly interested in the systems behind the clinical environment — particularly how electronic medical records, data, and technology influence patient care. I found myself asking questions like: How can this workflow be more efficient? How can data be used more effectively? How can technology better support the people who rely on it?

These questions led me to explore clinical informatics, data analysis, and healthcare technology more intentionally. I’m currently building my skills in SQL, data analysis, and workflow optimization while continuing to draw on the clinical perspective I’ve developed throughout my career.

Where I’m Headed

I’m excited to bring my clinical experience, analytical mindset, and passion for improvement into a clinical informatics role. My goal is to help create healthcare systems that are more intuitive for clinicians, more efficient for organizations, and ultimately better for patients.

I’m always open to connecting with others who are working to make healthcare a little smarter, simpler, and more human.

Beyond the Resume

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, gaming, creative projects, and running my Etsy shop, Order & Flow Studio, where I design healthcare-inspired products and resources. These creative outlets keep me inspired, help me stay organized, and remind me that learning and growth can (and should) be enjoyable.

I’m naturally curious and love figuring out how things work — whether that’s a complex clinical workflow, a database query, or a creative project.
